church ornaments. very nice are the towns of castel della pieve and s.andrea in corona.

metaurense, still mantains some remains of its roman origin. the town stands
on the point where the valley starts to grow. the interesting towncentre is of medioeval
origin and mantains may palaces and churches; noticeable is the palazzo della ragione from
XIVcent and the s. maria extra muros church. many valuable annd interesting art works in
the many churches.

pilei, stands from a hill on the separation between the foglia and the metauro, from here
the landscape is wanderful overlooking the rivers and the valley. although the small
dimention of the town it offers touristic accomodation.
